wishing you all a very merry and happy Christmas time. I hope you all can spend it with your loved once and get a chance to relax from the busy pre-Christmas time. I know I discovered whole new meanings of the word busy! Wow! Amazing what you can do if you have to!

This'll be a little of a long post for a few little things...a thank you, a "weather discussion", a movie note, and a "wish upon a star" for you.
Thanks Chris for making this forum possible for 2 1/2 years now, I believe. It's been quite an adventure! I'm glad, along with the others, to be considered a friend in our little neighborhood here on the web. Sometimes, though, you wish you could just walk out your door and you'd really see everyone to say "hi." So, I'll do that first...ok, I'm walking out the door, there you all are, and I'm telling you "hi"....and btw, a big heart-hug goes along with that!
Thanks for the inspiration and insight from everyone, as Dave says, and the special "life-provoking" topics put forth by our host. I don't know about yours, but my life has been immeasurably enhanced by participating here. Thanks Ufuk, too, for your kind thoughts. It's so great to hear from everyone, even if it's just a quick "hello" -- checking in as you pass by on your busy way.
As for my weather discussion, that is to hope everyone in the path this New Year's Eve snowstorm will be safe and sound...My local weather e-mail says "Hi Susan, the shovel should be ready to go...." Just what you want to hear New Year's Eve! So Tim (heard 3-5" in Illinois?) and Dave, we'll see how we fare by morning. Numbers sound high for here this time...
So why am I posting on New Year's Eve? Well, we're safely tucked in here...no parties...just our "second annual" New Year's Eve day movie and dinner out. Last year it was Rocky, can you remember that far back? And guess what...Sue actually physically sat through No Country for Old Men today. We figured if the now filmmaking Chris thought so much of the movie, we'd better see what he meant. OK...Chris, Dave, (Clint, maybe?) and whoever saw it, can you please share your comments? On why you liked it and what the meaning of it is. I have a few thoughts, but the more I think about it, the more confused I get...it is certainly a powerful film...and no, I don't think I'd have eaten a morsel of popcorn had I had any. I was riveted to my chair...and it will take me weeks, probably, to digest this film.
So that's my movie note for forum family to chew on...and I see tonight it's been picked best AP picture of 2007.....meanwhile...

I thought it sounds like what our all things possible host might challenge us with in this wonderful gift of a new year...I'm sure you've heard all or parts of it, but it's my "wish upon a star" for you to go along with Chris' topic for the new year....

HAPPY NEW YEAR Everyone!
I hope you all had a good sent off of the old year and a great start of 2008!
The last film we saw in 2007 was "Elisabeth - The Golden Age" - I can highly recommend it. Epic story, phantastic costumes, great acting, amazing locations.
The first film in 2008 we are going to see next Saturday will be "Sleuth" with Michael Caine and Jude Law - we're looking forward to this one very much.
Hope we can see more of Chris's work this year, too!
