Memorial Day

Today is Memorial Day in the States. Though I'm sure there are better ways to settle the differences among governments, I salute the men and women who's job it is to defend the decisions of their government, sometimes at great peril. If you know any veterans, tell them how much you appreciate them. And if you are a vet - Thanks.

ATP,
Chris

Hello everyone...Besides Memorial Day to celebrate this month, guess what? Just realized it's the anniversary of this forum!
Can it be four years ago that the forum family began to gather around this virtual campfire to share their stories? It's been fun.
I've learned so much and enjoyed getting to know everyone. So best ATB wishes to the Forum!

Dave I'm still thinking about Flyover. It was really good. I think you'd enjoy it. My husband liked it. It's pretty funny. And reflects the way things are here in the midwest in 2009...including an offbeat skit about mechanics in a garage, one of which loves classical music; an unusual conversation in an unemployment office; A hilarious comparison of the favorite foods of certain cities; a cute skit where John Lepard plays the single mom of a young boy who has to do all the guy stuff with him growing up...just different settings a man might find himself in these times. And all the production was pulled together from real stories that people had sent in. So that makes it feel very personal.

Ute...so glad to see your link about the movie...Land that Time Forgot. You can follow Chris on Twitter now, and so I discovered this great interview he did that's online at:

    http://www.scifiscoop.com/news/exclusive-interview-with-christopher-showerman/

Hoping Chris will have a moment in his extraordinarily busy schedule to make a comment about it.
Hmmm. Maybe another interview might be in order here? Sometime this summer? It's been a long time:)

I hope to see Star Trek at least soon. Busy with family weddings and things. So hope it will remain in the theaters awhile longer. Seems nearly everyone who's seen it, liked it. Thumbs up! They say?

And in this time between Memorial Day and Independence Day...I wish you all a star-spangled ATP summer! Sue

    Hey everyone!
Sue, Flyover does sound good and I'm sorry I won't be able to see it. By the way, I'll be passing by your region again this coming weekend - I have a Community Theatre Association of Michigan board meeting in Alma and I'll be traveling home via Lansing and Jackson as I'm participating in a golf tournament (fund raiser) in Brooklyn (Mich) on my way home. To answer your question from the last topic, yes I have family in the Stockbridge area. My mother is from a little town called Munith so I pass through that area on infrequent occasions.

The news that we can follow Chris on Twitter finally gave me a reason to sign up for it - maybe I'll get hooked too like the rest of the world. Though it feels a little like stalking somehow - I'm looking forward to getting the scoop on Chris' upcoming projects ASAP though! I read the interview and am looking forward to seeing "The Land that Time Forgot."

And Chris - how's the new office working out? Can you see the dwarfs holding up the roof from your window? Gosh, just typing this makes me realize that I miss LA and it's time for another trip west soon...

Sue - I'm sure "Star Trek" will be around for a few more weeks. Remember when movies would stay in the theaters for weeks, months, and occasionally years (i.e. Titanic?). DVD sure has changed that hasn't it?

I'm looking forward to the opening of the latest Disney Pixar opus, "Up" tomorrow. You'll find me in line and at the theatre! Looks like another big movie season seems there's something good to see every weekend. I really enjoyed "Angels and Demons" last weekend (though it was changed significantly from the book and not always for the better).

Guess that's all for tonight! ATP as always!!

    Hey Sue & Dave!

Thanks for the notes and keeping this place hoppin. I'm writing you from the new office (thanks for asking Dave) and it is great - quiet and convenient. Thanks Sue for being so on top of the showerman web incidents! I'm impressed. I think you guys find out things faster that I do some times! I learned more about my own twitter page here. My partner Clint maintains my busy twitter life most of the time.

Hope this finds you all well and enjoying the fruits of the end of the week!

    All Things Possible,
    Chris

Hey Chris, it's great to hear from the "main man!" I'm glad the new office is working out.

Just got back from the movies and wanted to give everyone this week's personal endorsement:

    GO SEE "UP!"

    That's all for now...

Hello everyone...I don't know what to tell you about Twitter. I might have dived in too quickly. I found Chris, thanks to a tip from Alex...and then, I enjoy Brian Johnson's Philosopher's Notes...I think I put the link to that here a long time ago. Which I will if anyone's interested. And he had a link to a group link for 50 of the great teachers and leaders...such as the Dalai Lama, Jack Canfield, Marianne Williamson, and many you've heard about. I thought that would be neat to follow them. Well, next thing I know I'm getting emails that lots of those people are following me! Not much fun for them! I haven't even posted yet. So I'm wondering, now what do I do?:) Well, I guess I could tell them about Chris. Hmmm, maybe that would be a great way to spread a little more ATP...I'm going to have to check it sooner or later...any thoughts? This will give the forum family something to think about!

Also I meant to say congrats about the new office, too. Did you have a big party? Probably just work, work, work! Hope it works out well for you, speaking of work. And hope it'll afford you more time to post:).

Thanks for the note about "UP" Dave...so two movies I have to see so far? BTW I did put in my pre-order for Land That Time Forgot. Although sometimes, I think I'm in it. Especially now with this Twitter mania going on.

ATB/P... (oh, gee, another followee of me just popped onto my screen. It would be nice if they had something to follow...I think I have another blog idea going here!) I'm heading for cover....Sue

Sue, so how do we find you on Twitter? How many followers do you have? I don't think I have any myself, but I don't post anything either!

Dave, I saw your post pop into my gmail. Just like all the Twitter followers. I don't know how many I have, as I've been busy writing today and was afraid to look! But curiosity will get the better of me. These don't seem to be the names of the people I'm following. Now I have to laugh, as I forgot my Twitter address. I'll check and look. Thanks for asking. Have a great rest of the week! Sue

    Hi back...OK here I am.
    http://twitter.com/ZouZouZazie
Yep, that's me. I'd made up that name awhile back to use for some things and my other one was taken.
Well, 25 followers. Guess that's not so bad. 62 following is right, as I added that group all at once. And they all show there. You'll probably recognize some of them...I mean, besides Chris:)... Not sure how up to this I am, but Facebook and Twitter seem to be the networking medium to promote just about anything these days. Guess I'd better post something! Have fun. So you're on? Here's to ATP! Sue
