Hey folks! Looking good- the dogs even have the creepy Halloween eyes and all! Well done. And as for trying to make them kill us in our sleep, Tim: we still got xmas coming. Do I see a Santa and some little helpers there?! ;) We'll be 'dressing up' with a bunch of friends this Sunday for a gothic-fantasy fair with some cool performances from our favorite band! Is it too early to wish you all a wonderful enchanted weekend? Be Inspired!
Yes, that holiday may be past, but we loved seeing your team having fun!
Hard to believe November is speeding on by as fast as your roller coaster...with today being Veteran's Day...and on to Thanksgiving. So in the spirit of November, I'm thinking back to the time you asked us to tell what we were thankful for. Remember?
First off, of course, I'm thankful for this forum and for the person who created it, who has given us so much joy and hit us over the head a few times with ATP:) We know we need it, because we keep coming back for more!
I'm thankful for Tim, who loves dogs so much, and glad to see you back on the forum again. Hope many good things have happened while you were gone. How are the articles going? I recall you saying something about a writing thing starting up. Hope the dog shows are going well.
I'm thankful for Jaschenka, who's going wild and crazy on Facebook with all the games that I love to comment on, but not play! But I can see it as a giant playground for so many Facebook fans. And it's fun to watch you all having so much fun! The gothic fantasy fair sounds like fun, too! How was it?
I'm thankful for all the forum folks who haven't posted yet, and look forward to your comments:)
Meanwhile, I'm thankful for all the opportunities that have come my way to express my creativity in recent months. But, you know? You can be too dog-gone busy sometimes! Had to throw that in.
And on Veteran's Day I'm thankful for the soldiers and military personnel and for the day to honor them and reflect on their service to our country. I'm thankful for a great son-in-law who, even though being a Marine keeps them moving in far states, I'm proud to include in our family.
I'm sure by Thanksgiving I'll have written some more thank yous here, because it's one of the best places on the web to place your positive affirmations and dreams.
A quote comes to me often at the bottom of a friend's email. It's about gratitude:

I can't believe Oct. is gone. Thanks for the pic "Go Team". Just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving, before it is gone. Lets all try to be thankful for the small things.
Yes Tanya, it is hard to think that in a few short weeks, we will be into another year. And as Jaschenka has pointed out, Christmas is right around the corner and I can not wait. I will be spending it in Austin, Tx hopefully hiking or doing some other sort of outdoor activities.
Sue, it has been a very busy summer and fall thus far. I have not been able to "visit" much but now that things are starting to slow down, I should be able keep up....hopefully.
I have not completed any more writing projects although I have three concept outlines done. I feel so rusty and can honestly say I am thankful for "spell check" and "grammar check"! It is now just a matter of getting myself inspired.
Another thing I am thankful for is that I completed most of the goals I had set for myself this year. Most of them shallow self serving goals but something to strive for anyway.
Health goal: I found my abs....now if I could just find my 29 inch jeans. I am tired of walking around with plumbers butt and pulling my pants up all the time!
Dog Goal: I qualified my young dog for the AKC National Agility Championship next March in Tulsa. On a sad note, my retired agility dog passed away at the age of 14. The house seems so quiet with just three dogs so I am on a waiting list for another border collie. As Jaschenka can tell you, two border collies in a house can liven things up....a lot!
Financial Goal: Ok, so I didn't win the lottery but....there are still a few weeks left in the year so maybe I can make it a clean sweep!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone...can 2010 be far behind? How could an entire decade slip away so fast, from the days of Y2K...distant memories...yet sometimes they seem like yesterday.
Tim, figured you were busy. Just was wishing you well in your writing endeavors. It's a lot of work. Fun. But annoyingly hard work sometimes. I'm getting into my writing adventure with Livingstontalk.com -- which is a new "talking" website for county residents, so there are lots of bloggers. The only thing is, it's like feeding a giant black hole that sucks everything in. I certainly never expected to have a place to pour verbiage into, that like a river, goes seemingly on forever. Ha, Chris...I'm already known as Sue-nami:) But that's fun, too.
As for abs, I need to find mine, too. I talk a big story about living healthy, but I love ice cream too!
Always enjoy the dog stories of you and Jaschenka. And Tanya, thanks for the well wishes. Look forward to hearing about Ute's trip to Egypt...and if we're lucky, maybe some exploits of the host of the forum...i.e. movie projects, etc etc etc
Enjoy the time with your families and friends this holiday season and may the weeks winding toward 2010 be filled with ATB and ATP! Sue
Well, just thought I'd see if anyone is reading the forum lately:) Pretty quiet street scene here.
Checking in about the movie we saw last night, "Blind Side," that came out over the weekend. If you saw it, did you like it? I thought it a pretty amazing story. I always love stories about real people, because often those are more astounding than fiction. We went to celebrate my brother's birthday, as he wanted to see that one. Wondered what anyone thought about it, and also other holiday films.
So far, the only on screen movie for us this fall was "Whip It" since I had to write about it, what with at least three people from our area in it. Who'd have thought movies would become a "thing" in Michigan? But it's been fun, watching things happen, and especially fun watching the people having fun making them! And any recommendations for the Netflix list?
Hi again... Topic will probably change soon, but I found this link with a review of Blind Side by Stephen Simon I thought you would enjoy. Go see the movie if you can...it's theme is ATP!
Thanks Tim, Tanya, Sue, Alex, and Jaschenka for your great comments! It's almost like sitting around that great thanksgiving table in cyberspace with you all. It's a great opportunity to tell those you love how much they mean to you today!

Ah yes. This is what I love about dogs. They always love us no matter what we do to try and get them to kill us while we sleep! LOL
