OK, may I be the first to comment on this topic. Wonderful...except the Yul Brynner look takes a little getting used to. Although, as you know, I'm used to it here, so I find it rather distinguished!

Best wishes for all projects and look forward to seeing some of them sometime...perhaps at a local film festival. We still have a party to throw, don't we forum family?

    ATP, after all! Sue'

PS...heading off to Virginia next week for another jolt of creativity retreat. I may have internet this time, down in the Blue Ridge. Although I'm debating with myself, whether I want to access it or not. It was so peaceful when they didn't have it three years ago.

Looks like a great demo to me! Shows lots of diversity, that's for sure, in characters as well as hairstyles(or lack thereof!)--did you shave yer head for that Chris? Or is that a very clever makeup job? I still haven't got to see "Between Sand and Sky"--those clips just make me even more curious about it.... And NO Sue--I think it is sacriligeous to the ancient Cherokee ancestors to have anything to do with computers while vacationing in the Southern Appalachians.......

Happy weekend everyone...I agree with Lane re Sand and Sky...it's been too long. And, I appreciate the Appalachian sentiment, too. It does seem that way. There's something about those mountains! ATB and I'll report back about my adventures...Sue
PS I really enjoyed the article and am glad Chris put up the link here:)

The many faces of Mr Showerman. I like it. I like the "Mr Clean" look as well. Makes me feel at home LOL.

Sue, enjoy your trip and leave the internet at home. We have become too attached to it and should look for reasons to walk away from it or shut it down. Our society has enough health issues without computers and video games adding to it. So on that note....I'm outta here LOL

Has a week gone by? I've been gone on my trip, seemingly to another realm, and it always takes me awhile to come back into this one at home.

Well, I hesitated to take my laptop, but did, as now the home where we stay has WiFi. Phones still iffy. So I called home just as I departed the expressway to say I'd safely arrived, and texted once to my husband and once to our daughter in CA who was doing her half marathon the day I was driving down, and she was so happy to have done it. That was when I was sitting in the salt room at the spa we visited where my phone worked!

I tested out the WiFi with my laptop only to see if it will work for my next week in August when I'll most likely be writing on it. But it was interesting, in that I really did not want to use it and I was happy to forget the phone for a week. I highly recommend the experience!

Of course, now I am just getting back into checking things, and I see that things are quiet here. I just watched the demo again, now, and saw some different things...nuances. It's wonderful. Just one thing, though. I REALLY would like to see that awesome film BTSATS. And wonder when I can:). I was reminded of it last night, as E.T. was playing again. And, of course, that always reminds me.

And, I noticed now, the two times I've viewed the demo, that the Tarzan call at the end, each time makes me think that there are possibilities ahead for a movie, as we all have been discussing now and then! Yes, ATP that would be.

So, now I have to check up on everyone. PS I'm also on blogspot, like Chris...in several places. But the main one is
allthingsbeautiful-susangail.blogspot.com where I do the reflections of Henry Reed's mandala art (whose workshop on Creative Spirit I attended this week). That blogspot space is where I'm working with my theme of movies, mandalas and dreams... where AT are P...and of course B...Beautiful!

I love my weeks in the Blue Ridge Mountains to re-energize. Truly a gift. I know why Lane loves the mountains down there. Magical. Hopefully I bring back some of that magic with me each time.

Thanks everyone, for all your comments and insights:) Wow, is it May already?! May it be ATB! Sue

PS...LOL...the first text message I got on Sunday when I got home was from our daughter..."I'm on the Alice in Wonderland ride at Disney land!" (she was taking our son and girlfriend -- who is an All Things Disney girl -- to Disneyland on their weekend visit to CA)

    Hello Everyone,
Sorry I've been gone for a while - or almost forever it seems - just been busy with other things in life and not checking in here as often as I should. I'm glad to see that there has been some good activity and interesting comments since I last checked.

Chris, I like the demo reel. I was at first questioning starting with the clip for "Big Game" but when I saw how it was immediately contrasted with the clip from "CSI" and the contrast between rough and tough and clean cut it worked for me. I agree that this reel shows the diversity you bring to several roles and that you can handle the rough and rugged as well as the big sweet and tender moment from "George" - one of my favorite scenes in that film by the way. The rapid pace montage at the end works for me too.

I hope you get some positive attention from the new reel!

    ATP forever!

Tim, great video clip again. Hope to hear more updates about your competition events this summer...

Dave, missed telling you Happy Birthday on Facebook, but I was aware of it, and thought about you, hoping all is well. So, I'm glad to see your forum post here. I imagine the theatre events are really going strong now. Look forward to updates.

I like your description of the demo reel. Always enjoy your insight on movies and the entertainment industry. BTW...I waved to you on my way back into "Pure Michigan" down in your neck of the woods. Wow, was it great to see that sign, knowing I was almost home!

ATB everyone...have a wonderful weekend. And please keep Jaschenka in your prayers for her dog Luna. Sending blessings via the powerful ATP forum vibes...Sue

    Good morning folks

It is a beautiful day here. Not a cloud in the sky. I wish they could all be like this (Tanya, a perfect day to fly!). I am sitting on my deck drinking some morning inspiration listening to the birds chirp. I wish I didn't have to go to work......sigh

Sue, glad you enjoyed the latest video. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvVt1yk08ig ) I was pretty pleased with how we did in that competition considering that much of the time she is on my left said I can not see her and have to trust that our training is going to work. As we come together as a team, I am going to have to find my "A-Game" to hold up my end of the deal.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. ATP

Beautiful here, as well. I think I was sitting on the patio listening to the birds chirp, as well. Let's see, 4:14 am in CA, so 7:14 MI? Nope, I was out an hour or two later. Hated to come inside. We have to appreciate these rarefied air days when we can! (Hope I spelled that right, it just seemed to fit!).

Yes, keep the videos coming, and I know we all enjoy keeping up with your "A-Team":)

Best ATP weekend wishes to everyone...Sue

    Alex -

Nice to hear from you. We heard that there was a pretty powerful earthquake in Northern Italy so I hope you weren't affected.

Thank you all for your comments and thoughts on my reel.

Glad to see the notes in my email, and I'd seen a headline about quakes and wondered, too. Thanks for asking, Chris. Alex, hope you will let us know.

As for the reel, hope you are getting lots of real comments and perhaps a few viewers are reeling with enthusiasm, to see the rest of the reels! Sorry, couldn't help it:)

In any case, ATP wishes for all projects...Sue

    Hello dear Forum Family.

I've been away from this little corner online too long, but glad to keep up with some of you through facebook and mail. (I know Angi left fb but we keep in touch and she is doing well.)
Love the new demo reel, although I am baised, but it does show a wide range of diversity and the picks of the various parts are very well done. I think it gives a splendid impression of your capabilities, Chris. Hope it will bring you lots of good, and lots more things for us to watch!

Seems like summer finally set in here on this part of the globe, although I got a bit of a shadow around me, as I had to say goodbye to my beloved dog Luna last week. She came down with a bad liver desease that also took the strength of her muscles, which was altogether never her strongest bit. We are very grateful to have enjoyed her for more then 10 years. Who would have thought that when she got so ill as a six-month old pup. A perfect example of ATP! Lots of practical changes related to this loss, but I try to look at it as a challenge. Thank you all for the well wishes I've received from you.

On a more cheerful note, summer is festival season and we already kicked of last weekend with the wonderful Keltfest. Ute, are you looking forward to Castlefest yet?!
What's everyone else planning this season? Look forward to hear from you all.

    Be Inspired!

    Jaschenka -

I'm so sorry to hear about Luna's passing. I know she was a fast companion and support to you through some very important times in your life. I always looked forward to hearing about her in your notes. My heart goes out to you.

Jaschenka, i'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Luna; my thoughts are with you!

Thank you so much Chris and Sue for your lovely thoughts that i appreciated very much, for asking about the strong earthquake that hit the Northern Italy mainly the Emilia Romagna region where sadly there have been many damages, deaths, thousands of evacuees; my thoughts are with them. The earthquake was the worst (magnitude 6.0) to hit that region since the 1300s. All is ok here, where i live but thanks again for asking!

    Be well everyone!

    Alex

    Wow, dear forum family ...
Thank you for the beautiful thoughts for my birthday. It was a magical day. Our son and girlfriend surprised me with an amazing restaurant experience. I'd suggested he pick somewhere he thought I'd like , but convenient for them, as both working today. To my surprise, they whisked me off to another city for the ultimate fondue dinner! For my husband's birthday, it was where you cook your food on volcanic rock. Between the two of them, you never know what to expect -- always exploring new territory. So, it was an amazing day. Thanks everyone for thinking of me!

Wow, we've had some sad times among us this past year, losing our animal companions. They teach us so much. Jaschenka, hope you’ll write some things about Luna...maybe a book with your writing and your art:). She was a part of the forum family for sure.

Tanya, hope the trapeze work is going great this summer. Keep us posted! And Tim best wishes for your competitions. Dave, too, for your new script project. Alex, thanks for writing about the quake. I'd been out of touch with the news much of May. And, that is much worse than I thought. Glad you’re safe.
Lane, hope all's well at the zoo, and you are keeping ahead of all the summer visitors. Our son and girlfriend visited San Diego zoo while in CA at our daughter's, and just loved every minute, especially the Pandas. LOL, I now have an adorable Panda mug from the zoo! Perhaps one day I'll get there. Ute, Ufuk, if you're out there, hugs to you.
Hope I've covered everyone, and Chris, thanks for keeping our forum family going. It's been a highlight for me for the past (has it really been?) 7 years!
Happy Memorial weekend everyone, and ATB/P, always...Sue

Don't think I posted here that the show I was cast in lost their venue. :( ATP???

I have a job interview today for an accounting position. Don't know if I am happy about this: Am I qualified - YES, by my spirit says - No you are a performer. Unfortunately, my checkbook says - you're a starving artist.

Come fly with me - Tanya

Very sorry to hear about Luna, Jaschenka--don't you have another dog as well? Having multiple dogs is what really helps me when the old ones pass on--you gotta keep on keeping on for the rest of the pack!.... And I hadn't heard a thing about the big quake in Italy, Alex--scary!.....Sounds like you had a swell(but not swollen) B-Day Sue! Things at the Zoo are fine--so far. Some politics rearing their ugly heads as the zoo--a State-run zoo-- may try to go partially private soon. Likely us peons will suffer the consequences if and when that happens--but no telling at this point. But if "cuts" are made, I may be in the same boat you are, Tanya! Don't sweat it--most jobs I've had I only considered temporary to pay the bills till something else came along.(I've been fired and quit A LOT of jobs in my infamous and various employments!) I never have thought in terms of a "career"--just "survival"! My "ambition" has always been to "walk-the-white-man's-road" as little as possible! And if I do say so meeself, I have been enormously successful at that! I LOVE being a zookeeper--cush-est and best job I've ever had--I love tending the critters! But if something happens to change that--Que sera-sera! I'll find something to tide me over and pay fer the dogfood! But good luck finding something EVENTUALLY that you enjoy again, Tanya! ATP! ATP!

    Hi everyone,
Wanted to post before I got sidetracked. Tanya, thanks for the update on your show. Hope the interview went well, and I agree with Lane, keep up the ATP thoughts, in whatever job you do to put bread on the table. You are always a performer, always inspiring everyone of us to fly!

OK, now that I saw that clip of the show where those teams were learning the art of trapeze, and caught a glimpse of you, I am (to make you burst out laughing) picturing all of the forum family there with you, as YOU teach us how to fly!:) Wouldn't that be ATP! Well, it sure would be fun.

Did I say that? I can't imagine me me doing that, but you had me wondering if I could. So, you see, you are an inspiring artist, and you will always fly!

Hugs to my favorite peeps on the planet, forum family! Sue
