Lady Bug behind the scenes

Started shooting Lady Bug this weekend.  The crew is mighty and the script is fantastic!  Also would like to thank our Sunglasses sponsor Julbo for keeping me in VERY COOL shades for this project!  You can check out their glasses at http://www.julbousa.com/.  And of course you can keep up with us during the shooting on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/theladybugmovie?fref=ts or on twitter at https://twitter.com/LadyBugMovie.

Have a great week!

Spending your days on the water, looking cool in your Julbo shades...not bad work if you can get it (and of course you've gotten it).

I'm glad to see that Lady Bug is shooting and am looking forward to seeing more updates. I'll be following on both Facebook and Twitter!

Boy am I behind on some things. Way behind. Looks like I am going to have to go back a few months and catch myself up on what everyone is up to. Congrats on the new movie project Chris.

WOW!!! Great to hear from you Tim!! Hope all is well with you!

Lady Bug shoot is going great. Actually shooting out in the ocean, it's a variable that is difficult to control. It has added a lot of effective entropy to the picture!! Dramamine is one of the most popular items on the craft service table.

Hey man, I ALREADY KNOW what's gonna happen--your character is going to fall overboard, or if they end up on an island, fall off a cliff!.....L.B.

Sorry I missed you birthday Dave. Hope it was fantastic. Good to see you back Tim. Chris I hope you got your sea legs now. I had a small accident at work. A student jump off the board as soon as I hooked the saftey lines on. She took the bungee hook with her which snapped back and caught me in the arm. Completely safe for students. Its the instructors that have to watch out

    Hi dear forum family,
A writer without words is what I am, as I can't express my appreciation for you all, and your wishes for me and ATB. I'm overwhelmed by this awesome ATP community. Just checking in here today, after being a bit overwhelmed, too, by the experience of a marker birthday. I'll get over it in a day or two! But, that, and realizing I met Chris ten years ago makes me also realize I wouldn't have known all of you otherwise...and that makes me send you all big smiles and hugs of ATB. You're always in my heart! Sue

Blogger left duplicates. Sorry. Happy, restful ATP weekend, everyone. Meant to ask Tim if you have events coming up this summer for your dogs. Have been enjoying the video clips:)And Dave, your productions coming up. Lane, I never made it to the San Diego zoo on the CA trip. Tanya, looking forward to an update. Hope all is better. Alex, good to hear from Italy! And, Chris, I hope Lane's wrong about your character, but we remember LTTF:) I'm sure you won't be forgotten in this film. All the best for it, Sue

Happy Memorial Day. I just got back from Arizona. Flew out Friday night to drive back a car for some friends of mine. Got back here in Illinois this morning (Monday) at 3:30 am. Drove the stretch from Alburquerque to here in one shot....and that pretty much describes me at the moment. Shot.

No Sue, I don't have anything planned for the dogs this summer. Sad to say, my schedule is so busy that dog sports are going to have to take a back seat to life. They still get their daily attention and exercise so they are happy and my bank account is happy that I am not shelling out funds for competitions.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend. My last dose of coffee is wearing off so I am heading for some horizontal surface(any one will do) for some much needed rest

Tim,good to hear about your dogs and trip. Hope you are all rested up! Our road trip to CA for Easter makes me be able to put yours into perspective. That's a long haul. Be safe during this storm week.

Glad to hear from everyone on the forum. Hope Ladybug is going great...and happy summer to all! Sue

Ahhh, too bad you didn't make it to the San Diego zoo or Wild Animal Park, Sue. Perhaps you'll make it to the N. C. Zoo one of these days if'n yer down thissa way. And HAPPY BIRTHDAY to EVERYONE! Whether I'm early or late--Happy B-day! I can't even remember my own B-day, so give me a break.....And even if, Chris, you DO fall overboard or off a cliff, or up against a tree, I'm sure you'll do it THE BEST that it can be done!!!....L.B.

Lane, thanks for the note. Yes, that would have been good. We did visit the Wild Animal Park in Encino way back in 2000 before I ever met Chris. We'd taken my parents to CA to see our daughter, so she could see her grandparents and they could celebrate their 60th anniversary. The trip was our gift to them. Loved the park. Hope to get back to CA and see San Diego. Maybe next winter. And yes, would love to see the NC Zoo. And, speaking of birthdays, here's a little heads up to L.B. -- the ATP birthday is coming right up on June 24th. Although he may not admit which birthday it is. As for me, I need to change my profile photo that I love from a wedding. On my blog last week I fessed up to my quantum leap into the sensational seventies. Ten years ago was the first article about Chris. Wonder what the next ten will bring? Lots of magical ATP I hope. And maybe even a fan gathering somewhere in there! :)
Thanks for keeping the forum lively and energized! And look for more updates from NC. We may get south before we get west again! ATB Sunday to everyone...Sue

That's right! June 24th! The eve of Little Bighorn Day!(my favorite non-recognized American Frontier Holiday!) I SHOULD remember that! Sue, we have quite a few transplanted Michigunites working here at the N. C. Zoo--so I often hear Michiginiqua anecdotes! In fact, one of my co-workers(a Pennsylvanianite) married one a them Mishiginnerz, and they are visiting the great lake state as I peck this out! I think they plan a trip to the Upper Peninsula, which I hear so many fabulous things about--like wolves and the now officially acknowledged prescence of cougars(pumas, panthers, mountain lions er whatever you choose to call 'em)--which makes me VERY jealous!....L.B.

Yes, the Upper Peninsula is a wonderful place, with the 5-mile-long Mackinac Bridge over the straits being one of the wonders. If you love the out-of-doors, it's the beautiful land of Hiawatha and Gitche Gumee shining big sea water, and scene of Gordon Lightfoot's ballad, The Edmund Fitzgerald... among many other tales and legends! Hope you get there sometime. I forgot to mention that I have a beautiful favorite panda mug from the San Diego Zoo, gift from kids:) ATB week everyone! Where in the world is Ladybug? ;) Sue

WHAT an incredible survival story, Tim! INCREDIBLE! Just goes to show--NEVER GIVE UP! Hopefully Mister Showerman is not bobbing around like that guy in the Pacific somewhere just now. If so, we need to get that bunch of Australian surfer dude searchers up here PRONTO!....L.B.

Maybe Chris will want to get the rights to that movie seeing as how he has all this ocean going experience between Sea of Fear and Ladybug. By the time everything gets hashed out, he'll almost be old enough for the part :-)

Not a bad idea Tim!! I agree with Lane, that was a harrowing tale!

    Tim and Lane,
I was up late posting on Facebook when I saw these come in my inbox. We have a little forum family group page if you are so inclined to be on FB ever :) I was just posting on it. Wow, I love the humor on this forum lately. It makes me feel all smiley! You two could make a great team ;) I got the idea about the clip, but my computer was acting up and wouldn't let me view it, so I'll have to remember to try again. Have a wonderful ATP weekend, everyone! Sue

Sorry Sue, my work computer is SUPER ANAL about not letting me on Facebook--other employees access it, but then, they have computers of their own, and got their accounts done on their own contraptions. I can't "join" anything, or buy anything via the work computer, so I'm left out of that modern day phenomenon(facebook and twitter and all that)--people not understanding my computerized limitations often get IRATE at me for not joining their facebook conversations!.... That link(for the story) is for SOUTH AFRICA's version of the "60 Minutes" news show--I didn't even know there WERE other versions of "60 Minutes"! Kinda funny, I thought! Anyway, get on their website, and it is the HARROWING story of the 50 year old fellow that fell overboard and had to endure an unbelivable long time treading water(no flotation device even! Sheesh!) before being rescued--yet he never completely(almost!) gave up!. I don't know if this would make that great a movie or not, Tim--at least it WOULD have a happy ending, though! It was harrowing enough just watching the brief documentary! It would be sorta like that BORING, DEPRESSING movie(jusy my opinion, now) "Open Ocean", where for 2 hours you just watch this couple floating around and bickering before sharks FINALLY get them after TWO LOOOOONNNGGG HOURS!!!. By the end of that movie, I was kinda thankful for the sharks! Besides, I've already got Chris's next movie project lined up--as Simon Kenton in "The Frontiersmen", based on Allan Eckert's kick-arse historical frontier novel! I can't believe no one has done this yet--the book has been around since the 1960's, and of course Simon Kenton was an actual character in our frontier history!......L.B.
