Why?

Happy Spring! (or happy autumn to all of our south-of-the-equator friends!)

If you're like me, you're very motivated and driven to perform, achieve, and accomplish in whatever realm you operate. We talk a lot on this forum about the laws of attraction, the Secret, and other forward-thinking positive approaches to achievement. There is another consideration I like to periodically check in with myself on down that road towards whatever it is that we think will bring us fulfillment...

Why?

Hmmm, a deceivingly simple question. Why am I doing what I am doing? Why is this so important to me? Why does my fulfilment need to look this way or come in that particular package? If you have ever asked this question of yourself, you are way ahead of the many who go, do, try, etc. "just because". I know quite often in my experience, the first answer to the question is not even close to the whole truth. The answer we give to the world is RARELY pure and honest. And for whatever reason, we are often afraid to even let ourselves know what is really driving us to do what we do and be who we are. However there is great power in looking at our core impartially and simply observing what motivates us. Many times those reasons were set up by your 5 year old self and more often than not, they are no longer valid. Or perhaps your WHAT (goals) is still the same but your WHY has evolved and matured - which can change your approach entirely. It definitely changes your energetic approach - which changes what you attract to yourself along the way.

Rest assured, I don't want you to publish your WHY here on the forum. That is something personal for you alone to discover about yourself. But I do encourage you to take a moment during your spring cleaning to take an inventory of your beliefs and see if they continue to support who you are today.

Take care of each other.

All Things Possible!
