Zelda

As many of you know by now, my friend Zelda Rubinstein passed away yesterday after living a phenomenally full life. She had so many fascinating stories of her adventures that you would swear that she had actually lived several lives. She was a consummate collector of people. I watched her make friends with strangers as easy as breathing. And Zelda would follow up on ALL of her friends on a regular basis never allowing anything to come between her and her friendships. Though small in stature, Zelda was a giant in her humanity.


Zelda was widely known for the role of Tangina that she played in the movie Poltergeist which helped to launch a colorful and award winning career as an actress and Voice-Over talent. This began after she worked as a teacher, a nurse, a world traveler, and a cornucopia of other jobs. She remained an activist for human rights and AIDS research for her entire life.




Thank-you Zelda for all of the wonderful things you have taught us all about dignity, love, and the power of an uncompromising spirit. You are missed.
