Happy New Year!
I hope you all had a great holiday season and are entering 2008 with excitement and renewed convictions.
As many of you know about me, I love to escape on road trips whenever I can. This year we took off to New Mexico. I believe the key to a great road trip is not having too many plans so you are open to being spontaneous when a roadside attraction intrigues you. Here are a few of the sites that intrigued us:
These are the Gila (pronounced HEE-LA) Cliff Dwellings. They were inhabited by Native Americans around 1280 - 1300. The Native Americans then left mysteriously and no one knows why.
Here is the White Sands National Monument in New Mexico. Over two hundred square miles of white sand made from the eroded gypsum crystals of Lake Lucero. Breathtaking!
I'm looking forward to hearing what you all did over the holidays and what plans you have for the new year. I saw that several of you celebrated the season in a movie theater! Excellent Choice!
Have a great 2008!
All Things Possible,
Chris
