Hi Guys!
As many of you know, we lost both of our dogs last year. If you're an animal lover, you probably know how painful it is to lose a pet. Well as sad as that was, they were both old and frail and it was a blessing that they got to live most of their lives with each other.
After being dogless for almost 4 months, we finally decided to take a weekend to just see who was hanging out at the animal shelter. Long story short, we came home with two more dogs. We're very happy to introduce you to Sophie and Scout.
Our two new ladies. Sophie (left) is six and Scout is seven.
We are so very happy to have both of them in our family!! If you are even considering expanding your life to include a pet (or another pet!) please begin your search at your local pound or animal shelter. Both Sophie and Scout were on death row and their time was ticking down! We visited 6 different shelters and met THOUSANDS of animals hoping to find a new home. With literally HUNDREDS of animals being admitted daily to each shelter, it becomes apparent that the homeless cat and dog problem is epidemic. Municipal shelters can't afford to house and feed these animals indefinitely and with the surge of new strays and owner surrendered animals coming in daily, they're constantly needing to make space for more animals. Also, the great thing about adopting a pet from an animal shelter is that the shelter will make sure the animal has all of their vaccinations, is spayed or neutered, and has a microchip implanted to help you recover your animal should you ever be separated (think of it as Doggie Lojack.) What a deal for a LIFETIME of friendship and loyalty!
All Things Possible,
Chris
